What is meant by “lowest unique bid”? It is the bid placed by only one participant and which is the closest to 0.01. It is the winning bid at the end of the auction. You can visit this page to see more about reverse auctions principles an rules.
How do I participate in an auction? It’s very easy. Simply register on SitnBid.com. Next, you deposit Credits in your account, bearing in mind that you will receive bonus credits for each deposit (see more about the refill bonus). Now all you have to do is choose the auction or auctions that interest you.
Is registering on SitnBid.com free of charge? Yes, opening your user account is totally free of charge.
Bidding
How can I know my positioning while I’m bidding? Once the auction has started, the status of your bids is displayed in real time in the game window.
How much does an auction cost me? The cost of an auction varies. It consists of 2 things: entry fee and administration fee.
What is the entry fee? This fee varies from 0.5 Credits to 10 Credits depending on the auction. In exchange for the registration fee you receive your bid package.
What is the administration fee? This fee goes towards the cost of managing the auction, and represents 20% of the registration fee.
What is the bid package? This is the number of bids you can place during the auction.
Once I’ve registered for an auction, must I pay for each bid I place? No. Once the auction has started, you have nothing more to pay. The bids you place come out of the bid package you received in exchange for your registration fee.
Can I cancel a bid I have already placed during an auction? No. The bids placed during an auction cannot be cancelled.
Can I place a multiple bid? Yes. You can place your bids either one at a time, or by interval (a specific range of prices). However, the number of bids you can place in one go is limited to 5.
Auction
Can I unsubscribe from an auction before it starts? Yes, as long as the auction has not started. However, once the auction has started, it is not possible to unsubscribe.
What happens during an auction? As soon as an auction starts, each participant can place the bids he or she has received. The auction winner is the participant who, at close of auction, has placed the lowest unique bid. Each stage of the auction process is explained step by step in our game tutorial, please read it !
How long does an auction last? The duration of an auction is shown on the auction home page. An auction can last between 20 minutes and 1 hour.
At the end of an auction my bid was the lowest unique bid. What do I do now? Absolutely nothing! The Credits you have won will be directly placed in your user account after the auction has been validated by our services.
I am the designated winner. What am I awarded? The winner of an auction is awarded the sum of all the registration fees paid in by the participants.
What happens if there is no unique bid? In this case, the auction is declared invalid and no winner is designated. The entry fees paid in by participants are refunded within 24 hours of the close of the auction.
Can I participate in several auctions at the same time? Yes. A user can participate in several auctions at the same time. However, participating in too many auctions simultaneously may slow down the game on your computer.
Can I see the details of each auction that’s over? You can see the full results of each auction you participated in. For auctions you did not participate in, you can only see who won, who participated and what the winning bid was. We make this restriction to prevent individual players’ strategies being analyzed too easily.

Can I open several accounts on SitnBid.com? No. Opening several accounts for the same person is strictly forbidden and will cause the user to be banned. His or her accounts will be closed, and the remaining Credits on such accounts will be lost.
Can several people in the same household register on Sitnbid.com? No. Only one registration per household is permitted.
Can I communicate the status of my bids to another person playing in the same auction as me? No. This practice is strictly forbidden on SitnBid.com. The auction management tool used in the auction process allows us to detect users who are colluding with each other. A warning will be automatically e-mailed to the suspected users to tell them that their account is being watched. In the case of confirmed cheating, the guilty users will be banned and the balance of their accounts will be lost.
How does referring a friend work? You can freely refer your friends or relatives. For this you need to go into the Refer a Friend section of your user account and enter their e-mail addresses. When each person you refer deposits Credits in his or her account for the first time, you receive a 5 Credits bonus.
Can I remove my user account? Yes. To do this, simply send an e-mail to the following address: customer-service@sitnbid.com.
How do I reload my account? To reload your account, you can use the online payment method offered on the site (Paypal). If you wish to reload your account by bank transfer or by any other method of payment, kindly contact us at the following e-mail address: customer-service@sitnbid.com.
What is auction validation? In order to effectively fight against fraud, each auction is validated by an administrator. This validation takes place 24 hours at most after the close of the auction. If the auction is validated, the winner’s takings are then awarded directly onto his or her account. If the auction is cancelled, all participants’ fees will be returned to their account. 24 hours is the maximum delay for validation: we do our utmost to validate as quickly as possible.
I didn’t receive the e-mail with my password and the link to activate my account. What should I do? If you have registered on SitnBid.com and have not received a validation e-mail, contact us at the following address: customer-service@sitnbid.com. We will activate your account and will send you your login name and password. To be sure to receive all our mails, we advise you to add social@sitnbid.com to your address book.
The store
How can I use my winnings? You can use your winnings to participate in other reverse auctions or you can select a lot in our store.
How does the SitnBid.com store work? The SitnBid.com store allows you to select the lot you prefer from anywhere in our catalogue. On SitnBid.com auctions, it’s the player who chooses the lots!
There’s an item I really want but it’s not available in the store. What can I do? If your dream lot is not available in the store, let us know! We will look into your request and do our utmost to help you to get it.
I’m just a few Credits short of what I need to get my dream item in the store. What do you suggest? Let’s say you’re looking at a lot worth 500 Credits but you only have 300 Credits on your account. You can deposit 200 Credits into your account and make that very special item yours!
